New Web Projects [nwp] goal is to provide Web users a real-world testing ground for current and new web innovations. [nwp] Fraternity members critique and advise each other, testing speed, cross browser usability, compatibility, accessibility and many other key elements of design imperative to today’s Web professional. [nwp] provides all users a place to network and interact ideas, knowledge and resources in a highly focused environment.
Member Breakdown

New Web Project’s has two member types.

[nwp] Fraternity Member - prequalified based on open-ended questions regarding experience with Web technologies, a diversity of projects and visual design, in the order of importance. Because members are prequalified and applications are discussed by existing members before membership is granted or denied, [nwp] is a great place for members to collaborate on projects. [nwp] Fraternity Members can engage the community in project-specific discussions, subcontract work and exchange RFPs between each other with confidence. Also have the added benefit of engaging each other in a controlled forum area, and they enjoy private communication privileges between each other and the site administrators. Limited access to these additional areas ensures more targeted, useful results and discourages spam or malicious use.

[nwp] Member / User- Many portions of [nwp] are open for public use, including most forum areas and articles posted by [nwp] Fraternity Members and outside contributors.

The only cost to either membership is time and contribution.

About [nwp] Fraternity Members
Membership is not limited to developers working in corporate environments or with clients. The privilege of membership is extended to individuals who show a real need for this type of service and demonstrate a desire to give back to the general development community. This might include Webmasters working with single sites, entrepreneurs who rely on their Web presences, hobbyists with a serious interest in learning and contributing to others and traditional Web development professionals.

Membership within the [nwp] Fraternity is by invitation. Invitations will generally be made to regular [nwp] forum members who have displayed the appropriate level of proficiency in one or more areas of development-related technology or business areas and have demonstrated a willingness to share their expertise with the general population and learn from others as well.

Hey guys,

So I have been really busy with life lately. I have picked up a job doing server maintenance and what not. Now I am focusing on accelerating my career in administration but still look to be a big part in NWP team.

---Things to come---
I will be starting a small project that will be slow but steady. The project consists of programming in PHP and using mysql as the database manager.

What is this project?
I decided that I will be making a rough tool for Dungeons and Dragons players. This is to help out a local DnD group within my city to be more organised.

How is it structured?
I'm not 100% sure yet but i was thinking about having a Primary Database host different skirmishes which than has more tables that allow for a skirmish master to make updates that will e-mail all the players within that group about upcoming events or if a gathering is cancelled.

What's the purpose?
This makes adding stats and roll calculations to be easier and allows for story telling and players imaginations to flow clearly without interruption for some extra number crunching.

If anyone would like to work on this with me feel free to contact me. you will need programming basics in order to work with me on this.

The code will be open source and free for anyone to use in their local chapter I will file open source right later once i have full outlines. I will set up a Forum Thread with information regarding my work with patches renditions and test documents to provide support for my code.

Interesting concept. Look forward to future posts as you come along in the development process. If you could posts pictures and screenshots during the development that would be AWESOME!
